In his letter to the State Auditor, Speaker Tilley said action must be taken quickly.

He said it needs to be determined how many more projects are failing ... and what will be the cost to taxpayers.

The audit of Moberly can only take place if a petition is signed by Moberly residents ... or if Governor Nixon gives his permission.

But Nixon's spokesperson Scott Holste refuses to say what their plan of action is.

Like the governor, the State Auditor does not yet have a response to the letter.
