House passes concealed weapons bill but the bill Sponsor intends to oppose it

Although the Missouri House passed a bill that would let citizens decide whether or not they can carry concealed weapons, the bill sponsor probably won't give citizens the chance. Mary Jackson has more from Jefferson City.

The house substitue for a senate bill would allow people over the age of 21 with no felony convictions to carry a concealed weapon.

Senator Peter Kinder said his bill was originally designed to allow only retired judges, police officers and state officials to carry concealed weapons. . . . not all citizens.

The bill now heads to the Senate where Kinder says he intends to keep his promise by striking the bill.
