Governor Carnahan extended his special session call last night instructing lawmakers to consider a very specific partial-birth abortion issue.

Senate Minority Leader Steve Ehlmann from St. Charles says since Carnahan's call is so narrowed it's like he is sending a bill to the legislature and then asking them to vote on it.

Although, the Governor can not be forced to change his call, Elhmann calls this extended session ridiculous and warns a vote to adjourn could always happen.
