Wrap: An amendment which would require gun owners to report weapon theft within 72 hours, is a "simple solution to a big problem" according to Democratic Senator Jamilah Nasheed.

The NRA disagreed, stating on their website the provision is "anti-gun" and makes gun owners victims twice.

Bill sponsor Senator Brian Nieves separated himself from the two sides before the statement was made.

He says he did not care what the NRA thought and felt indifferent to Nasheed's amendment.

Description: I can live with it. I wouldn't raise it on a flag pole and say it's the greatest thing I've ever seen but I can live with it.

The original bill aims to make federal gun laws unenforceable in Missouri.

Wrap: In a statement made to their website Wednesday, the NRA said a provision of the bill, which would require gun owners to report weapon theft within 72 hours, is "anti-gun."

The amendment was written by Senator Jamilah Nasheed, who says she thinks the group is making accusations they can not support.

Description: Anti-gun? I mean I'm not anti-gun.I have a CCW, you know, and I own guns. So the rhetoric that they're using is really uncalled for.

Bill sponsor Senator Brian Nieves says he did not care where the NRA stood on the issue and he did not think Nasheed's amendment was neither a bad not good thing.
