Wrap: Governor Jay Nixon says he sees no issue with the head of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's decision to purchase a brand new, $5.6 million dollar plane.

However, when word reached the Senate recently they blocked the confirmation of Doug Nelson to the Office of Administration and were angered nobody told the legislature.

House Speaker Tim Jones says he saw no reason for a new plane and thinks it serves a different purpose.

Description: "I don't know what was wrong with the old plane, maybe the old plane had too many hours on it so it couldn't fly to Iowa or New Hampshire so we had to get a new one."

Nixon says he supported the choice to make the investment for law enforcement and for public safety.
