A Republican spokesman is accusing the governor's office of breaking Missouri's sunshine law. Kyle Elfrink has the story from Jefferson City.
Darryl Duwe is asking for Governor Mel Carnahan's travel records during a 12-month span from October 1998 to November 1999. He made the request last November. Still waiting for a response, Duwe's wondering why the open records aren't being supplied ...
Missouri's sunshine law says requests for open records must be answered within 10 days. The governor's office says they already supplied the records to John Ashcroft's campaign and will answer Duwe's request in the next few days.
