2010 Bill(s)

* SS SB 793
Sponsor: Mayer, Rob
Status: BECAME LAW
Description: Require a 24-hour waiting period to perform an abortion. Require the doctor to provide various items of information about the fetus and alternatives. The governor neither signed nor vetoed the bill. Unlike a pocket veto, Missouri's constitution provides that if a governor neither signs nor vetoes the bill, it becomes law.
See:
  • House roll call - SS SB 793 (05/14/2010): 3rd reading and final passage of a bill to require more information and statements be provided to a woman before an abortion can be performed.
  • Senate roll call - SS SB 793 (04/22/2010): 3rd reading of a bill to require more information and statements be provided to a woman before an abortion can be performed.

  • Official legislative description and status

  • Note: The descriptions of bills, amendments and roll-call votes are written by MDN journalists. MDN's database may not include committee assignments of bills made on the last day of the session since it is too late for the committee to act on the bill and, thus, the delayed assignment has no practical effect.
