Description: Increase the number signatures required for an initiatve petition to put a proposed law or constitutional amendment on the ballot. The HCS limits the measure to requiring a 60 percent vote for approval of a constitutional amendment rather than the current simple majority requirement. The CCS reduces the vote for approval to 57 percent or a majority in more than half of the congressional districts and a majority statewide vote. The House requested a conference committee on the measure.
