Candidate for Missouri treasurer helps to stall action on opponents booze bill

Republican candidate for treasurer Dan Brown of Rolla argued the bill would favor larger businesses in the state.

Fellow treasurer candidate and bill sponsor Republican Eric Schmitt said Missouri retailers support the legislation.

Description: There are over 13 thousand retailers small and large across the state that want this bill. 13 thousand whether it's the grocer's association, the petroleum marketer's association, all those folks that came and testified in support, they want more cooler space.

After a two hour filibuster, Schmitt set the bill aside.
