Senators announce plan to name St. Louis bridge after Stan "The Man"

In the same building that a statue of Stan "The Man" resides in the Hall of Famous Missourians, two senators announced plans to give him a new honor.

Wrap: St. Louis County Senators Eric Schmitt and John Lamping have each filed a bill to name the new Mississippi River Bridge after Cardinal's great Stan "The Man" Musial.

Schmitt said Musial was one of a kind and this is a way to ensure his memory lives on.

Wrap: Two St. Louis County senators filed legislation to name the new Mississippi River bridge after Stan "The Man" Musial. This comes less than a week after the St. Louis Cardinals legend died at the age of 92.

Sens. Eric Schmitt and John Lamping each filed a bill to name the bridge after the legendary outfielder.

Saint Louis County Senator Eric Schmitt praised Musial's accomplishments on and and off the field.
