Surprise visit from Missouri's team

Intro: After the most wins in school history, Missouri Senators welcomed Mizzou's basketball team onto the floor after a surprise visit.

Description: "Thank you Mr. President, it is my honor this afternoon to present to this body the 2008-2009 Missouri Tigers mens basketball team."


After an introduction from Columbia Senator Kurt Schaefer, Mizzou basketball coach Mike Anderson took the microphone from the Senate Chairman.

Description: "You know, we played 38 games and I told them, I said you know what fellas, we got it right 31 times. Those percentages not bad. They're not bad."


After a rousing applause from the legislators and a gushing speech from a Senator, the team shuffled back into the halls of Missouri's Capitol.

An impassioned speech by Senator Matt Bartle followed.

He said the entire nation was talking about Mizzou's "comeback" basketball team.

A long applause followed and the team made its way into the halls to talk with their fans.
