Martin has recently come under fire from the Hispanic community for what were deemed racist remarks about Mexican-Americans.

Despite pressure from leaders in the Hispanic community, Governor Blunt continued to voice full support for his embattled chief of staff.

Description: "He's doing a wonderful job leading the staff, working with the members of the cabinet.  I expect results and he's delivering results in a number of areas."

Blunt and Martin also received support from Hispanic Representative Timothy Flook.

The Kansas City area Republican acknowledged Martin's comments were indelicate and inartful, but he said they did not warrant terminations or apologies.
