Right now, it takes a 4/7 majority to pass school bonds.

But, a resolution to pass them by a simple majority has made it through the education committee in the House of Representatives.

It wasn't without opposition though.

St. Louis Representative David Levin says his constituents don't want a simple majority.

Contents: Levin found that in his district, nearly 70% weren't in favor of a simple majority to pass school bonds.

Lee's Summit Representative Matt Bartle says we should at least send it to the voters.

But before it gets to the voters, it will have to go through the House and Senate.
