Calling the ad dishonest, Rep. Craig Hosmer, D-Springfield, trumpeted a law passed under Carnahan, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, as evidence the governor's attempts to combat the drug are anything but soft.
Rep. Craig Hosmer, D-Springfield, who chairs the House Criminal Law Committee where Schilling's bill will be heard possibly on Tuesday, co-sponsored the legislation. He said he wanted to make sure the legislation would protect the mentally retarded, but not provide an outlet for those who are not retarded.
Kansas City Representative Bill Boucher and Springfield Representative Craig Hosmer both say they want to change that with their bills making it illegal to use, possess and manufacture GHB.
