Webb City Republican Representative Charlie Davis says a vetoed bill would take a burdon off foster parents. He says they would no longer need to renew their fingerprints every two years.
House Veteran's Committee Chairman Rep. Charlie Davis, R-Webb City, said his committee did make a few changes to the bill. The original bill stated a military member must have been stationed in Missouri for one year and declare residency in Missouri before they are waived from out-of-state tuition.
The bill's sponsor is Representative Charlie Davis, a U.S. Navy veteran. Davis says the federal government is thinking about requiring all states to give veterans in-state tuition.
