Sen. Bill Kenney, R-Lee's Summit, who lost to Wilson in his 1996 bid for lieutenant governor, said he is considering the office, but has made no decisions.
Most Missourian's don't realize that personal information and driving records are for sale. The Senate Transportation Committee voted to stop this invasion of privacy by requring the department to obtain a person's consent prior to disclosure. Senator Bill Kenney has this to say about the bill:
"Because it's easier to access credit card and Social Security numbers, this will be a much bigger problem than it has been in the past," said Sen. Bill Kenney, R-Lee Summit, sponsor of an identity theft bill.
Sen. Bill Kenney, R-Lee's Summit, whose bill requires coverage for some cancer tests, says lawmakers need to make HMOs insurance companies perform adequate preventive care. "My bill just follows American Cancer Society guidelines," he added.
The proposal was offered as a consent bill, meaning that little opposition is expected during the legislative process. Still, committee member Sen. Bill Kenney, R-Lee's Summit, asked why this sports star was singled out for such an honor.
