Description:
Restrict the right of students in unaccredited schools to transfer to other school districts. Require the state Education Board to determine accreditation for separate buildings in a district that is unaccredited. The SCS also requires the schools to pay some of the tuition costs for students to attend private schools in some cases. The HCS requires district voter approval before districting funding for transfers to private schools. The House did not take up the Senate-approved override motion.
