Wrap: The Senate Gubernatorial Appointments Committee refused to vote on Governor Jay Nixon's choice to lead the Department of Economic Development, Jason Hall.

Hall's appointment runs out Friday - and is banned from the position for life - if he's not confirmed by the Senate or the Governor withdraws his nomination.

Republican Rob Mayer chairs the appointments committee and says he doesn't plan to vote unless a compromise with the Governor is reached.

Mayer says the Senators on the committee are concerned about Hall's lack of experience.

Wrap: After refusing to vote on Governor Jay Nixon's choice to lead the Department of Economic Development, the chair of the Senate Gubernatorial Appointment Committee says there's still concerns about the experience of Jason Hall.

But the President of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce, Dan Mehan, says Hall is qualified.

If the Governor doesn't withdraw Hall's nomination or strike a deal with the Senators by Friday, Hall will be banned for life from the position.

Governor Nixon's office issued a statement that says Jason Hall is highly qualified, but did not address demands for the Governor to talk with legislators.
