Senate perfects a facebook fix

The Missouri Senate approved a St. Louis County Senator's fix to the facebook law.

Wrap: Senators unanimously voted yes on perfecting the facebook fix law.

Under the new bill, school districts will be required to have a policy in place by March 1st regarding communication between employees and students.

Democratic Jackson County Senator Jolie Justus said her only concern was trying to regulate technology because it changes so quickly.

Description: "I had a couple teachers over the weekend ask me a question about 'okay, so they fix this on Monday or during special session, can I have a facebook page,' and the answer I think is I don't know."

Republican St. Louis County Senator Jane Cunningham sponsors the bill.

She says whether or not a teacher can have a facebook page will be up to school boards to decide.

The bill now moves on to the House.
