Wrap: House Economic Development Committee Chair Anne Zerr asked members of her committee to submit amendments to the bill.

But after returning from an hour-long recess, Zerr refused to hear a single one of these amendments.

St. Louis Republican Representative Jamilah Nasheed stormed out of the Capitol after Zerr refused to listen to her proposal.

Description: "I had an amendment to offer, and that amendment was not allowed in committee. And I felt like, you know, if we're gonna run this government like China...then there's no need for me to be there."

Zerr says the China hub bill will be discussed next on the House floor...and that she came to that decision by herself.

Wrap: House Economic Development Committee Chair Anne Zerr first asked House members to submit amendments to be discussed.

Run Time:  00:11
Description: "No! Nobody in leadership told me to do this...that's what you're getting at. Nobody in leadership told me to do this. This was a decision based on what I thought, after listening to people, what I thought was the right thing to do."

St. Louis Republican Representative Jamilah Nasheed stormed out of the Capitol and drove home.

Nasheed says she's angry her amendment wasn't heard and won't be returning to discuss the bill.
