Intro:  One Democratic Representative says the lack of debate on an abortion bill was not an accident.
RunTime:  0:45
OutCue:  SOC

Wrap:  Even though Kansas City Democratic Representative Mike Talboy was standing by his mic to discuss the bill concerning abortion, the chair closed debate before giving Talboy a chance to speak.

Talboy says this is on par with the way the majority party has acted so far this session.

Actuality:  TALBOY2.WAV
Run Time:  00:10
Description: "They try to talk about D.C. being ruthless and tyrannical and the tyranny of the majority. And I think that as bad as they think that D.C. is they should look in the mirror because they are ten times worse.

The bill that would make coercion illegal and require abortions performed on minors to be reported to the prosecuting attorney in both the county the abortion takes place and the county the minor lives in will need to pass one more vote in the House before it goes to the Senate.

RunTime:  0:40
OutCue:  SOC

Wrap: Jackson County Republican Representative Bryan Pratt says whether you are pro-life or pro-choice you should agree with the three parts to his bill.

Actuality:  PRATT.WAV
Run Time:  00:04
Description: "Three very important parts, that I know each of these parts will decrease the number of abortions in the state of Missouri."

The bill would make coercion illegal, require abortions performed on minors to be reported to the prosecuting attorney in both the county the abortion takes place and the county the minor lives in, and would impose further implied consent to be given at least 24 hours before the abortion is performed.

There was no debate on the bill, but it will come before the House one more time before it can move to the Senate.
