Wrap:Republican Senator Brad Lager said the Department of Natural Resources made deliberate attempts to hide information regarding dangerously high bacteria levels at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Lager, who is leading this investigation, said 5,000 E-mails regarding the E. coli testing were made unsearchable by an outside company by request of the DNR.

Description: "Who made the decision to go through and withhold 5,000 E-mails, and who decided which of the 5,000 E-mails were going to get withheld? Is this Director Templeton who makes this? Is it someone above him that made those decisions?" |
Lager said he is certain the Governor's office was aware of this, but is not certain who within the office is to blame.
The Governor's Office deferred comment to the DNR, who said they have cooperated throughout the investigation.
Two weeks ago Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder's office said it has similar suspicions.
