Republican Party spokesman Paul Sloca criticized Montee, saying her press conference was white wash and that Montee was covering up for Attorney General Jay Nixon's mistakes.

Sloca says Nixon abused the program by using it for all the wrong reasons.

The Fund is at risk of becoming insolvent in 2008, as of right now the State Auditor is asking for corrective action to save the program and its participants.

The Missouri Second Injury fund is at risk of becoming insolvent in 2008, leaving hundreds of disability fund recipients without payment.

State Auditor Susan Montee held a press conference Wednesday to address the issue of the diminishing Second Injury Fund, asking for corrective action to be taken.

Republican Party Spokesman Paul Sloca criticized Montee, saying she was trying to protect Attorney General Jay Nixon for his mistakes while focusing on benefiting political allies.

Sloca says the main issue between the parties involved is a conflict of interest.

Sloca says the lack of funds could be a result of trial attorneys being paid out of the fund.
