At the Jefferson building in Missouri's capitol, the state Education Board will enforce its 5 pm deadline to the Saint Louis school system to turn in any new information that would save the board from losing its already provisional accreditation.

The December annual performance report showed that school board only met 5 of the 14 standards the school system needs to get accreditation.  The board only needs six to be provisionally accredited.

Sources in the Jefferson building tell me there are not any scheduled meetings before March 22nd, when the state Education Board will decide the accreditation situation, but it could have a telephone conference at any time.
