Ripping off seniors would come at a high price

Ripping off the elderly would carry a higher price tag under the Secretary of State's proposed legislation.

Secretary of State Robin Carnahan says its high time for Missouri to get tough on those who steal money from seniors.

According to the National Center on Elder Abuse, 75% of fraud victims are senior citizens.

Contents: "If this bill is passed, it would stiffin the penalties and it would include a minimum fine of $50,000 and five years in prison for those bad actors."
