Missourians chanted their opposition to Blunt's proposed Medicaid cuts.
Among the protestors was a woman from St. Louis County...Lucy White.
White said Missouri healthcare should be about compassion.
"Medicaid is..you just can't cut it. There's some people that won't survive without Medicaid."
Republican Representative Charles Portwood says the cuts in Medicaid are a compassionate response to the state's budget problems. Portwood says without Medicaid reform Missouri would be unable to provide healthcare assistance to those who need it.

A St. Louis County woman....Lucy White.. was among the protestors and she says if she could speak with Governor Matt Blunt she would tell him to consider the cuts' effects.
