As the current special session gets under way, democratic legislators are discussing their options on several abortion issues.
Tim Walker has more from Jefferson City.
House Republicans introduced two abortion bills today during the opening of the special session called by Governor Matt Blunt. Debate over the prospective legislation is set to begin tomorrow, and democrats like Senator Joan Bray are discussing their options.
"We've got some points we want to make about what this state is not doing to prevent unintended pregnancies. And what this state is doing to cause abortions."
Because of the Republican majority in both the house and the senate these bills are likely to become law, but Bray insists that filibustering is not an option.
