House debates unemployment fund.

Missouri's bankrupt unemployment fund may get a shot in the arm from the state government. With more from the Capitol here's Almitra Smith.

The House debated whether to borrow more money to bail out the state's currently bankrupt fund for unemployed workers. Lawmakers say the biggest question is whether the state should add more money to the fund by issuing bonds.

Republican Representative Todd Smith says the bond issue is a good start to fixing the problem.

Contents: It's been used very successfully in Illinois, they just recently did it, in Texas, in N. Carolina, Connecticut. I think you're going to see a lot more states looking at it.
