A tornado warning rocked the capitol building in Jefferson City sending all members of the General Assembly to the basement for the largest meeting of this session. Megan Murphy reports:
The sounds of tornado sirens rang in the background as lawmakers, lobbyists, and students on field trips filed down to the basement.
Even though the legislative session is scheduled to end in a week and a half, members of the General Assembly stopped worrying about the budget for awhile to express their concern for the citizens of the state.
The warning lifted around 6 o'clock, but the House and the Senate did not go back into session.
In Jefferson City, I'm Megan Murphy, for Missouri Capitol Caucus.
