	Gambling for transportation funding.
That's what one Missouri lawmaker is proposing.
Sara Lane has the story from Jefferson City.
Senator Ted House, a Democrat from St. Charles County, is proposing a bill that would increase the admission fee on gambling boats from two dollars to four dollars.
House's bill would use that money to pay for public transportation.
House says he chose gambling boat admissions fees as just another source of revenue.
Before the money can be used for transportation, voters will have to pass a constitutional amendment.
Senator Ted House is proposing a bill that would double admission to riverboat gambling casinos.
The extra money would go to funding public transportation.
House says raising gambling fees is part of a larger plan.
The bill will have to be approved by voters as a constitutional amendment before it can go into effect.
