Nixon endorses Bradley for president

Add Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon to the list of state officials endorsing Bill Bradley for president. Lee McGuire reports from Jefferson City.

So far 35 state lawmakers, along with Secretary of State Bekki Cook and now Attorney General Nixon have endorsed Bill Bradley.

Nixon says Bradley's support for campaign finance reform led to his endorsement of the Crystal City native.

Meanwhile Governor Carnahan is holding off on an endorsement.

A spokesman says the Governor is remaining neutral for now. In Jefferson City, Lee McGuire, KMOX News.

Democratic presidential candidate Bill Bradley will be in University City Wednesday, and he'll come to town sporting a new endorsement from a statewide official. Lee McGuire has more from Jeff City.

Attorney General Jay Nixon says Bradley is the only candidate who truly cares about campaign finance reform.

With Nixon's endorsement, Bill Bradley now has the public support of 35 state lawmakers and two statewide officials--Secretary of State Bekki Cook endorsed Bradley last year.

Meanwhile still no endorsement from Goveror Mel Carnahan. A spokesman says the governor knows both Bill Bradley and Al Gore well, and wants to remain neutral for now. In Jefferson City, Lee McGuire, KMOX News.
