One of the two doctors in Missouri's legislature said he is wondering why it took so long for Attorney General Jay Nixon to file suit against several leading tobacco companies. Mary Jackson has more from Jefferson City.
Senator Marvin Singleton, a physician, said he supports the planned lawsuit filed by Nixon.

Singleton said he hoped Missouri taxpayers don't lose out because of Nixon's delay.
Missouri is the 25th state to file suit against the tobacco companies.
From Jefferson City, I'm Mary Jackson.
