Mark Richardson steps down

Minority Floor leader Mark Richardson is stepping down from his leadership position in the Missouri House in the wake of last weekend's drunk driving and child endangerment charges.

Richardson pled guilty to counts of drunk driving and child endangerment immediately after he announced his decision to resign.

He will continue to serve in the legislature and on committees.

Assistant minority leader Don Logrosso will fill in as acting floor leader until the caucus can elect a replacement next Monday.
