A Louisiana resident urged Missouri lawmakers to keep money from the gambling industry out of campaigns and elections. Mary Jackson has the story from the state capitol.
Diana Jenkins, wife of a Louisiana legislator, came to Jefferson city to testify in support of a house joint resolution.
The resolution would outlaw campaign contributions from employees, owners and corporations affiliated with the gambling industry.
Diana Jenkins:
Jenkins said any money from the gambling industry would strangle any opportunity for good government.
No one testified against the resolution.
From the state capitol, I'm Mary Jackson.
