Missouri's first black supreme court judge says he supports affirmative action. Adrienne Baughman has the story from Jefferson City:
Ronnie White spoke in an extended interview in his chamber offices at the St. Louis Appeals Court.
The former State Representative says America's got a long way to go on race relations.
And, he said he believes in continuing affirmative action programs.
But White predicts there's little chance he ever will deal with affirmative action issues on Missouri's highest court.
The St. Louis Appeals Court judge says he doesn't feel any pressure from black leaders to follow any agenda.
From the State Capitol, I'm Adrienne Baughman.
