Description: Reduce the cap on total historic preservation tax credits that can be issued in a year. Exclude residential property from the tax credits. Create a fund for improvements to the Capitol complex financed by a 1 percent fee on tax credits. Legislative staff estimate a provision expanding historic preservation tax credits could cost the state more than $30 million per year in lost revenue.
