    Description: Change the threshold of total county property taxes collected that limits the percentage of taxes the collector can charge to cover the of collection. Currenly, a collector can collect 2.5 percent of the first $350,000 of taxes so long as tota collections to do not exceed $2 million. If collections exceed $2 million, only 1 percent can be collected of all taxes. The bill would raise that $2 million trigger to $3 million. The bill sponsor said only Worth County affected, with collections with collections below $2 million.
