Wrap: The bills on alternative treatment courts and science, technology, engineering and math education both passed the House by overwhelming majorities.

These are the two priorities Gov. Mike Parson laid out for lawmakers... after his vetoes this summer.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are applauding the expansion of treatment courts.

There was more debate on the education bill, but it did pass.

The two bills now head to the Senate.

House Speaker Todd Richardson says he's hopeful the House's work is complete.

Description: I anticipate that everything will go smoothly over there. They’ve got good bill sponsors and strong leadership over there, so I expect we’ll get those bills done as is.
The special session is expected to wrap up by the end of the week.

From the state Capitol, I'm Jacob Cavaiani.
