Wrap: One of the vetoes included funding for a program that inspects Missouri hospitals’ stroke, heart, or trauma centers… and classifies them – so first responders know where the closet one is during an emergency.
The House voted overwhelmingly to override the veto.
Senators did not go along with the House.
That didn't come as a surprise to Republican House Budget Chairman Scott Fitzpatrick.

Description: “You know, we kind of imagined it was likely the Senate might not take it up, but I still felt like we should do the right thing, what we felt was the right thing, and have the votes.” |
According to Republican Sen. Dan Brown, Parson said state departments would absorb the costs for two of the programs he vetoed.
For the others, Brown said Parson would look to supplemental spending in the future.
