Wrap: In U.S. Senator Roy Blunt's speech he talked about the great price different health related issues are costing tax payers.

Blunt talked about his involvement in a pilot program to come up with a proposal to treat mental health like all other health issues.

The program is an effort to make our health care system more cost-efficient and effective.

Missouri is currently an applicant to be one of the eight pilot states for the program.

He said its increasingly important that Missouri be efficient as an agricultural production center because of the state's advantages.

Description: We have more plant scientists in our state than probably anywhere else in the world, we have more ag research institutions both public and private, and we have the way to get what we do both processed and unprocessed to other people. food processing, manufacturing all of those things can benefit if we do our job the right way.

If left up to the U.S. government he said the doubling of our utility bills in the next 10 or 12 years would only hurt those who need help the most.

Blunt said there are better ways to provide women's services than through Planned Parenthood.

Blunt said that Federal health care funding should be a matter of getting the best possible health care to people in as many ways as possible.
