Wrap: The unprecedented resolution would mandate Planned Parenthood CEO Mary Kogut to come before the full chamber and explain why the organization failed to produce subpoenaed documents involving the disposal of aborted fetuses.

Kansas City Republican Senator Ryan Silvey argued that Planned Parenthood's refusal to produce the requested documents should potentially put the group in contempt of the Senate.

Wrap: The unprecedented Senate resolution would require Planned Parenthood CEO Mary Kogut to come to the Capitol and explain to the full chamber the reasons she did not produce documents subpoenaed by the Senate.

St. Louis County Democratic Senator Jill Schupp said she it might not even be legal for the Senate to subpoena a private institution like Planned Parenthood.

Schupp said the Senate is overstepping its bounds in forcing Kogut to come in and testify.
