Wrap: A young man brought up the idea, that the flag is not standardized across the state to Jefferson County Democratic Representative Jeff Roorda.

Roorda proposed a measure that would fix that problem or change the flag altogether.

Actuality:  ROORDA.WAV
Run Time:  00:07
Description: Despite some people's misunderstanding of what the bill does it only creates a commission to look at the flag.

The Southeast Missourian reports the Cape River Heritage Museum is not in favor of change, but Roorda says he has heard both sides of the argument.

The Secretary of State and one person from each of the eight congressional districts would be commissioned to hear public opinion on what to do with the flag.

Wrap: The House Committee on Veteran Affairs is reviewing a bill that would have a commission look to uniform the state flag or change it all together.

A young man brought the idea up, that the flag is not standardized across the state.

Jefferson County Representative Jeff Roorda sponsors the bill and says he sees both sides of the argument.

Actuality:  STATFLG2.WAV
Run Time:  00:07
Description: There's some folks that don't think that the design is consistent across the state. There's some folks that think that maybe we ought to update the flag as Colorado did.

The measure would commission the Secretary of State and one member from each of the congressional districts to travel across the state to hold hearings on what they should do.
