The Senate votes to override the the governor's veto of a 620 million dollar tax cut bill and now it is on to the House.

Wrap: Independence Democratic Senator Paul LeVota said told Republicans that Kansas is a state of economic despair because of their tax cut bill.

Many Democrats say Lee Summit Republican Senator Will Kraus’s tax cut bill is similar to Kansas's bill, but Kraus disagrees.

The Senate voted 23 to eight to override Governor Jay Nixon’s veto.
 
The vote moves to the House where Republican's will need 109 votes to override the veto.

There are 108 Republicans in the House and to override Governor Jay Nixon's veto of the a 620 million dollar tax cut bill they need 109 votes. The as House Democrats hold their breath to see who crosses party lines, Senate Democrats did not even put up a fight.
