Wrap: Two chairmen debated for nearly two hours about how to allocate funding to higher education institutions.
One being the chairmen for the Senate Appropriations Committee and the other chairs the Senate Education Committee.
Senator Kurt Schaefer from Columbia says the bill doesn't provide enough distinction between different institutions, and says Missouri should follow in the footsteps of other states.
|Description: "And you create a system where you got institutions that exist to serve a function. Not just exist to exist."|
Senator David Pearce sponsored the bill, and says he wants institutions to set their own performance standards.
