Wrap: Late Wednesday night Senate Democratic Leader Jolie Justus filibustered on the Senate floor.

Senator David Sater, Republican from southwestern Missouri, motioned to cut off debate.

This was something not seen since 2007.

Actuality:  FILI1.WAV
Run Time:  00:07
Description: I have a motion to move to the previous question. Mr. President I have a substitute motion. Send your motion forward, Senator.

Once the bill passed on a straight party-line vote of 23 to 7, Missouri became the third state in the U.S. to have a 72 hour abortion waiting period.

The last time the Senate ended a filibuster also involved a debate on abortion.

Reporting from the state Capitol, I'm Katie Hynes.
