Wrap: St. Louis County Senator Eric Schmitt propesed an amendment to exempt his county from the new extenstion tax.

Schmitt says that his county already provides enough money for the state and another tax would be an unfair burden.

Schmitt was joined in support by fellow St. Louis County senators John Lamping and Maria Chappelle Nadal.
