University of Missouri systems joins a nationwide graduation push for public universities

The University of Missouri system is working to increase graduation numbers.

Wrap: The University of Missouri system is one of 500 public universities to join Project Degree Completion.

The project aims to increase the number of graduates at public universities to 3.8 million by 2025.

MU provost Brian Foster says the university is developing more efficient programs that will increase the number of graduates and make more seats available to new students.

Description: "We can continue to grow some to provide more seats for students, but we can also do things to make the student experience more efficient so they can graduate earlier."

Some of these programs include the expansion of online programs and the attmept to maintain closer relationships with community colleges.
