Wrap: Missouri could soon enter an "unprecedented" and 'historic" era according to Republican Floor Leader Tim Jones.

Jones said he was concerned about the lack of a decision from the Supreme Court on the maps, which has left some candidates unsure about where they would be running.

Description: "We're in the last 24 hours of filing and I find it a little troubling that they have not issued decisions on that because it just leaves everybody to continue to wonder, 'well, what are they going to do.'"

Over 500 candidates have filed for state office since the filing period opened, operating under the assumption the maps are final, even if they are being debated.

Description: "I think that that's the only way we're going to be able to approach this in an orderly and thoughtful fashion."

The Secretary of State's office said until the court makes a decision, candidates could continue to file under the assumption that the maps are final, even if they are being debated.

Over 500 candidates have filed for office during the month-long filing period.
