Wrap: Mizzou's decision to leave the Big 12 has raised questions as to who will be responsible for paying the exit fees.

Quoting a confidential source, the Associated Press reported that the cost could total up to 26 million dollars.

Governor Jay Nixon refused to comment, and directed all questions to his spokesman Ryan Holste, who also refused to address the issue.

Kansas City Republican Representative Ryan Silvey says he hopes Mizzou doesn't use taxpayer dollars to pay the fees.

Description: "I've sent some questions to the university folks and have been looking into whether or not alumni could be made to cover the costs."

Silvey says he will be disappointed if the money to pay the fees comes at the expense of students.

Wrap: Mizzou has officially left the Big 12, but with that comes exit fees ... fees that Nixon's administration is refusing to address.

Quoting a confidential source, the Associated Press reported the cost of Mizzou leaving the Big 12 could add up to 26 million dollars.

But when we asked about the costs, the governor directed all questions to his spokesman Scott Holste, who also refused to address the question.

Description: "I can get you a copy of the statement from yesterday. That's really the only statement we've got."

That statement failed to answer any questions concerning exit fee.

Kansas City Republican Representative Ryan Silvey says he would be disappointed if the burden of the cost fell on the shoulders of the taxpayers.

He says he hopes the school will find another source of revenue such as alumni donations.
