Wrap: As it appears on the ballot, Proposition B only refers to dogs, but opponents fear the language of the statute is the problem.

Beth Walker teaches Animal Ethics at Missouri State University in Springfield.

Walker says she's suspicious of the intension of this legislation, because while the ballot only refers to dogs, the legislation defines a pet as any domesticated animal living in or near a person's home.

The primary proponent of this legislation, Missourians for the Proptection of Dogs insist there is no hidden agenda.

Description: "Well it's simply untrue. The ballot measure has a single subject, and that subject is the treatment of dogs at large scale breeding facilities."

The full ballot language can be found on the Secretary of State's website.
